The Diagnostic Pro Cardio Afib blood pressure monitor is an automatic upper-arm device that detects atrial fibrillation. The PRO CARDIO AFIB blood pressure monitor uses two technologies to measure blood pressure:
DUO AFIB – in DuoAfib measurement mode, the device detects atrial fibrillation. The blood pressure monitor automatically takes two blood pressure readings to ensure an accurate result.
MDI – blood pressure and pulse are measured while the cuff is inflating, which shortens the test time, ensures an accurate result, and increases comfort by reducing pressure on the arm
Self-monitoring of blood pressure for atrial fibrillation is particularly recommended for:
- people over 65 years of age,
- people over 50 years of age with diagnosed hypertension, diabetes, or coronary artery disease,
- people with thyroid disorders,
- all people who have had a stroke.
