USE
ABRA glucose test strips are intended for quantitative measurement of glucose (sugar) in whole blood collected from the fingertip, palm, or forearm. The ABRA Blood Glucose Monitoring System is intended for lay users and should be used by a single person. ABRA test strips are for external use (in vitro diagnostics).
TESTING PRINCIPLE
Each test strip has a test area containing reactive chemicals. Applying a blood sample to this area causes a chemical reaction, which then generates an electrical current. The blood glucose concentration is calculated based on the electrical current recorded by the meter, and the result is displayed on the screen. The test measures glucose levels in the range of 20 mg/dL (1.1 mmol/L) to 600 mg/dL (33.3 mmol/L). The ABRA test strip is calibrated to display the equivalent of plasma glucose values, facilitating comparison with results obtained using laboratory methods.
IMPORTANT:
Before using ABRA test strips, please read the test strip instructions and the ABRA, ABRA SMART, or ABRA SMART BT kit instructions. If the instructions or test results are unclear, please contact Diagnosis customer service at 800 70 30 11 or 85 874 69 28 (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM).
