Warnings:
- Choking hazard: The cap and battery may cause choking if swallowed. Do not allow children to use this device without parental supervision.
- Do not place the thermometer in the ear. The device is intended for use in the mouth, rectum, and under the arm.
- Do not expose the thermometer’s battery to very high temperatures, as this may cause an explosion.
- It is recommended to have the device inspected every 2 years (Diagnosis Service).
- Remove the battery from the device if the thermometer will not be used for an extended period.
- Using temperature readings for self-diagnosis is dangerous. Consult a doctor to interpret the results. Self-diagnosis may lead to a worsening of the patient’s current condition.
- Do not take measurements when the thermometer is wet, as the results may be inaccurate.
- Do not bite the thermometer. Doing so may damage the device.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the thermometer. Doing so may result in inaccurate readings.
- Disinfect the thermometer after each use, especially if it is used by more than one person.
- Do not force the thermometer into the rectum. Stop inserting it and discontinue the measurement if you feel pain. Otherwise, injury may result.
- Do not use the thermometer in the mouth immediately after using it in the rectum.
- For children 2 years of age and younger, do not use the thermometer orally.
- If the thermometer has been stored at temperatures below 5 °C or above 40 °C, allow the device to acclimate to room temperature (5–40 °C) for approximately 15 minutes before taking a measurement.
